SEXUAL HARASSMENT COMMITTEE

Protection of child from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO) and Sexual Harassment Prevention Committee.

The current members of the complaints committee are to deal with the complaints of sexual harassment in accordance with guidelines laid down by the Supreme Court of India relating to sexual offences at work places and of students are as follows.

The committee deals with issues relating to sexual harassment at GIS Farrukhabad.

It is applicable to all students, staff and faculty.

A complaint of discrimination or sexual harassment may be lodged by the victim or a third party.

A written complaint may be addressed to the convener of the committee. The committee takes action against eve teasing, unsavoury remarks, jokes causing embarrassment, gender based insults and taunts. The committee will organise verbal hearings with the complainant and the accused. Committee will look into the complaints / matters carefully and fairly.
